We need to be responsive to Arecibo's situation. /People have become fixed on having ice-cream for our 10th Anniversary... we should try to keep everyone happy./A lot of colonists want to participate in this harvest... then they want a festival... just like Earthly farm communities do. People want a break from their projects... and we have more than enough volunteers. The minor delay in programs won't be significant and it will be great for everyone morale./The Entomologist club is devising a way of creating rings around the silos that capture the insects as they migrate. They know the migration is triggered when florescent lighting is strongest... they'll just need to be reassigned from their projects to do this./The Fine Arts and Psychology clubs have some temporary symbolic signage they could post on the walls before they arrive. These visual cue will help orient the newbies./We should have a balanced approach. We need the analysis of the bad batches, find their locations and form some teams to work on these first. We also have to consider what these globules can do to our equipment... while our programs continue running./Give people one week to voluntarily return the batteries, we all know the hazards and people wouldn't want to be guilty of someone dying./The continuous operation of the foundry should be our first priority but not at the cost of overworking our people.
