Space Settlement Art Contest - Mining the Twins

Mining the Twins

by Geir Lanesskog
Category: Asteroid Settlements

Description: When most of us think of Belters, we think of people living under domes or in caves on some distant rock, or they think of eccentric loners in leaky ships, accompanied by ramshackle robots on an endless quest for the "big score". But most of the Belters live on nomadic habitats, sailing the sun's magnetic field between mining sites. This habitat is composed of two counter-rotating living quarters, with a fusion reactor on one non-rotating end, and an industrial port and refinery on the other.

Medium/Tools Used: All models and scene created and rendered in Bryce 6.
