NEWS RELEASE: The National Space Society's Board members, Buzz Aldrin, Fred Ordway and Hugh Downs will appear at the Space 2000: Space Exploration at the Millennium Conference March 24 in American University's Bender Arena. These space pioneers have inspired space enthusiasts through their activities and support of NSS. The National Space Society is the oldest pro-space group in America, advocating people living and working in thriving communities beyond the Earth. Chairman of the NSS Board of Directors and Apollo 11 Astronaut, Buzz Aldrin, will be on a panel moderated by NSS Board of Governors member and ABC News personality, Hugh Downs to discuss the risks and rewards of human space exploration. Fred Ordway, one of the NSS founders, a member of the Board of Governors, and a frequent consultant on space films will serve on a panel to discuss how fiction transforms into fact. At the NSS exhibit obtain a copy of Ad Astra, the NSS bimonthly magazine (celebrating its 10th anniversary), promotional material about the NSS Center for Lunar Research, and the first Lunar Base Development Conference.
