The National Space Society vision is people living and working in space

Craig Ward

Craig Ward is a former Vice President for Chapters for the National Space Society (NSS).

Mr. Ward has been a member of the National Space Society since 1981. He began working with OASIS, the Los Angeles chapter, in the early 1980s serving a variety of roles including Chapter President, newsletter editor, database administrator, webmaster, e-mail list administrator, and general gopher.

Mr. Ward received a B.A. in history from the University of California, Irvine and a M.S. in computer science from Loyola Marymount University. He works as a software developer and consultant in the Los Angeles area. His clients have included the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Los Angeles County Municipal Court, Los Angeles Police Department, and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Mr. Ward's professional memberships include the Association for Computing Machinery and the IEEE Computer Society.

Mr. Ward firmly believes that the future of humanity depends on the establishment of a civilization that spans the solar system and beyond. The story of how that will happen will echo the stories of human migration and colonization from history. Humanity has done it before and must do it again.
