Terry Savage served for 7 years as Chief Information Officer for the State of Nevada. This is a Cabinet level position reporting directly to the Governor, and includes serving as Director of the Nevada Department of Information Technology. He established the Nevada Communications Steering Committee, and wrote the action plan for the first Communications Interoperability Plan.

Terry was the founder in 1978 of the Organization for the Advancement of Space  Industrialization and Settlement (OASIS) in the greater Los Angeles area. He was the final Treasurer of the L5 Society prior to the merger with NSI, which created NSS.
