Josh Powers joined NSS as Editor of the NSS Downlink (formerly NSS Online Report) e-mail newsletter in 1999. He was appointed to the NSS Board of Directors in 2004, elected Secretary in 2005, and elected to the Board in 2006.  He served as Operations Manager for the International Space Development Conference (ISDC) 2005 and Chair of ISDC 2008, both in Washington, and is a member of the NSS Conferences Coordinating Committee.

Mr. Powers received a B.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame and is currently pursuing an M.S. in mechanical engineering at The George Washington University. He lives and works in Northern Virginia.
